Summary
In spring of 2021 I enrolled in GIS for Planner. For the final project I decided to analyze the social disparities that occur around South Mountain Park in Phoenix, AZ. Research has shown that living closer to a park increases standard of living and the further one is located from a park the more likely they are to have lower incomes and lower home values. In this project I test to see if this holds true for what is claimed as the nations largest municipal park.
