Mariposa Port of Entry Case Study

Summary

The new Mariposa Port of Entry, on the border of Nogales Mexico and Arizona was started in 2007. The project incorporated many basic ideas of sustainability and water management but still provided function as a border port of entry. This case study was completed to showcase the green infrastructure and water wise practices that are occurring in the Ambos Nogales region, and to provide an example of good practice. I was able to interview the lead landscape architect to learn more about the project and his view of how water wise practices can better be implemented in the desert.
